Solihull Swimming Club is a local team from my hometown. My family have contributed their time to the club for around 20 years, most notably my parents being Head Coach, Club Secretary and Head of Teaching.
I have been a member since turning 5 years old, when I originally began to learn to swim. Over the years, I began to competitively swim and eventually give back to the community by teaching younger swimmers voluntarily for a number of years.
I had been requested by committee members to create a new website for the swimming club, a much needed update since the previous website has been live since 2008. Since the club had surpassed 50 years of establishment and is boasting over 600 members, it was due for an update.
The main objectives of the project were to offer an invitation for prospective members and volunteers to join the club, as well as inform current members with the history and latest information about the club.
